My name is Sarah Ferreira. I’m a Registered Social Work Intern currently pursuing licensure in the State of Florida. I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Social Work in 2016 from Boise State University. I am an EMDRIA approved Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. I have previous experience providing community-based mental health services, private adoption services and spent nearly seven years in child welfare.
I am passionate about working with young children, teenagers, and individuals who struggle with emotional distress. My approach with clients is cognitive-based and person-centered. I have experience working with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, grief, and mood disorders. It is my goal to cultivate a supportive therapeutic relationship that will be the foundation of our work together.
