Joshua Stephens
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Population: Ages 13 and over.
Joshua Stephens, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health
Nurse Practitioner providing in-office and telehealth care in Southwest Florida. Having grown up locally, he’s committed to serving the community he knows and cares about.
Joshua earned his Master of Science in Nursing and was the salutatorian of his undergraduate nursing program. He provides psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management,
with a focus on practical, evidence-based care that meets patients where they are. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Joshua worked in critical care settings, including the ICU
and emergency department, where he was involved in psychiatric intake and stabilization. That experience continues to shape his approach, especially when working with patients dealing with
more acute or complex concerns.
He is a United States Marine Corps veteran and has a strong interest in working with veterans
and individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, and mood-related conditions. Joshua aims to create
a straightforward, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel comfortable
being honest and involved in their care.
Outside of work, he is a father of two and values time with family and staying connected to the
local community.
